| What's a Skip to do? Hello, my name is Skip, and I am four years old. Today I am going to take a little trip, and ride my bike over to visit my poor little brother, who is lying in bed sick. He has the flu, and I must remember to wash my hands and face, or I may catch it too. I want to know if he is going to get better soon, so we can both ride our bikes room to room. I like to be a fire truck, and he a race car! We like to go as fast as we can, but never too far. I'll scream like the siren, while he roars like the car, and after the third lap... So does mom and dad! It's great when they join the fun, because whoever wins, is the closest one to the announcer when she yells "Stop!" Today my bike is a motorcycle, and I start it by kicking the pedal, and as the motor makes noises, my only hope is that mother won't meddle. As I jump onto the seat and twist the throttle grip, I burn rubber, and begin my trip. When I lift up my feet, the hall becomes a street, and the lights traffic signals. It's just over a mile across the dining room tiles, to my brother’s house, where I must remember to beware of his oversized guard mouse, who paces the gate. When I get there, I peek in the door to see if he is asleep, and I know he is awake, when I see his feet! They are bare, and they stink, and an awful color pink! I say "hey brother, what do you think?" Are you going to get well? And he reply's," I don't know." Mom made me some waffles, and I still feel awful! And now I can't sleep 'cause my feet are hot! I said, "Well... I just wanted to see if you wanted to ride bikes or not", and he said, "not." So I got on my bike, and rode away. My motorcycle turned back into a regular bike, and the streets were just a carpet, halls and walls. This was going to be a l-o-n-g day, without my brother in which to play... What's a Skip to do...?
